An expedition among the palms at Huerto del Cura

The Imperial Palm looks like a tree from a story: several arms grow from a single trunk. Find it among ponds and surprising plants, turning a walk through this Elche garden into an expedition of shapes and reflections.

Before you go

Who is it for?

Our idea: a little safari of plant shapes. Look for a palm that grows differently, a plant with fleshy leaves and a reflection in the water.

Planning your budget

2026 prices: adults €6.80; children aged 5–15 €3.80. Two adults and two children in that age range total €21.20, with an audio guide included. Some reduced rates require proof of eligibility. For under-fives, call reception on +34 965 451 936: the published rates do not specify that age group. Allow separately for parking if driving.

Booking

Buy tickets at the entrance or on the garden’s website. Guided visits and demonstrations are additional services requiring booking.

When to go

Hours change each month; last admission is half an hour before closing. The website warns of street works: pedestrian access continues, but arrival by car may change.

Getting there and accessibility

Follow the marked pedestrian routes during the works. If using a pushchair or wheelchair, ask which route avoids obstacles; there is no need to approach the pond edges to observe them.
